Three More Bank Failures Make 132 For Year

WASHINGTON – The FDIC said three more banks were shuttered Friday, two in Missouri and one in Kansas, making 132 failures so far in 2010.

Friday’s failures were: Premier Bank, a $1.2 billion Jefferson, Mo., institution, and WestBridge Bank and Trust, a $91 million Chesterfield, Mo., bank, as well as Security Savings Bank, a $508 million bank in Olathe, Kan.

The estimated cost of the three failures to the FDIC is $407 million.
