Jeremy Hudson and David Brown, both 26, were arrested at LaQuinta Inn on University Drive in Huntsville on Nov. 15. They were found in possession of a 2007 Mercedes SUV that reportedly was stolen in Nashville, as well as documents pertaining to a case that has been under investigation for more than a year.

Both men are from the Chicago area, investigators said, and believed to be affiliated with a gang called “Gangster Disciples.”

Redstone detected fraudulent activity on member accounts about a year ago and notified authorities immediately, said police.

Brown and Hudson reportedly attempted to cash approximately $71,000 in checks at the credit union in November.
