Whatcom Educational CU Donates $12,450 To Non-Profits

BELLINGHAM, Wash.– Whatcom Educational CU said it made its annual social responsibility grants to local non-profits, a total of $12,450 this year.

This year’s recipients are: Allied Arts Education Project, Assistance League of Bellingham, Communities in Schools of Whatcom County, Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services of Whatcom County, Everson Garden Club, Ferndale High School, Interfaith Coalition-Friendly Visitors, Lighthouse Mission - Agape Home, NAMI of Whatcom County, Old Town Christian Ministries - Amy's Place, and the Opportunity Council.

The credit union’s Social Responsibility Committee supports education, health and community-related projects, actively seeking those that address acute community concerns such as violence, homelessness and drug abuse.
