FORT WAYNE, Ind. Employees of Freedom Financial CU foiled a potential armed robbery Wednesday by locking the would-be perpetrators out of the building.
Employees said they spotted two men one armed with a long gun near the branch and immediately activated security measures and locked the lobby doors, denying the men access to the building.
The men reportedly fled east on foot, into a nearby residential area and possibly to a waiting vehicle, according to police.
No members were inside the credit union during the 10:40 a.m. incident and no injuries were reported.
