ABA hires VP for Card Policy Council

The American Bankers Association announced Feb. 12 that Jason Kratovil has been hired as vice president and deputy executive director for the ABA's Card Policy Council. His first day is Feb. 19.

Kratovil was formerly vice president of congressional relations for the Independent Community Bankers of America, where he worked on card and payments-related issues. Before that, he was legislative director for former Rep. Steve LaTourette, R-Ohio.

"His in-depth knowledge of the industry and the political process will be invaluable as we advocate for this important segment of our industry," Kenneth Clayton, the ABA's executive vice president of congressional relations and political affairs, said in a press release.
