AppraiserLoft Set to Shut Down

AppraiserLoft, the troubled appraisal management company, has suspended all new business and is preparing to shut down.

The move comes about two months after the resignation of company founder Aman Makkar and a story by National Mortgage News that reported the San Diego company was not paying some of its appraisers on time.

At press time company officials could not be reached for comment. Callers to the firm's San Diego headquarters are met with a recorded message that says, "At this time we are no longer accepting new orders."
