AT&T Universal Card Services, Jacksonville, Fla., appointed Jim Selzer to the newly created post of senior vice president, customer service.

Mr. Selzer, 53, will be responsible for all customer service operations in Jacksonville, Columbus, Ga., and Salt Lake City. He will report to Jerry Hines, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Mr. Selzer has been at AT&T for 28 years. He has been director of consumer sales and marketing and vice president of operator services.
