Bank of New York Mellon Hires Risk Executive

Bank of New York Mellon Corp. said that it has hired Robert R. Rupp as an executive vice president and head of enterprisewide market risk.

Mr. Rupp, 55, will also be a member of the global operating committee, the company said last week. He will report to Brian Rogan, Bank of New York Mellon's chief risk officer.

Mr. Rupp was hired from JPMorgan Chase & Co., where he had worked since 2000. Most recently, he was a managing director for risk management and earlier he was a managing director in proprietary trading.

Bank of New York Mellon had more than $23 trillion of assets under custody and administration and more than $1.1 trillion under management as of June 30. It services $12 trillion of outstanding debt.
