Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays PLC, hired Thomas R. Rosen as a managing director.

Mr. Rosen will partner with associates across Barclays' investment banking and leveraged finance operations to build its strategic advisory services business, Barclays Capital said Tuesday.
Previously he was a managing director and head of natural resources mergers and acquisitions at Banc of America Securities.
In recent months Barclays Capital has expanded its investment banking coverage of major industry sectors through several senior hirings.
