BNY Mellon Hires Two Southern Calif. Sales Execs

BNY Mellon Wealth Management, a unit of Bank of New York Mellon Corp., has hired Kristin Nelson and Dean W. Catalano as senior sales directors in the unit's plan to expand in Southern California.

With the hirings, which were announced Monday, the unit has added seven sales officers for the region in the past year and nine support staff members for portfolio management.

Nelson and Catalano are to be responsible for wealth management business development throughout the region.

Nelson is to work in the company's Century City and Newport Beach offices. She was a senior vice president and private-client adviser at U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management in Los Angeles. Catalano was a financial adviser at Bernstein Global Wealth Management, a research and investment management firm. He also is to work in the Century City office.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management managed $142 billion of private-client assets at June 30.
