Germany's BHF-Bank Aktien-gesellschaft said its supervisory board has elected a former Chase Manhattan executive as chief executive officer.

Ernst Michel Kruse, 52, a former Chase vice chairman responsible for finance, risk management, and global services, succeeds Wolfgang Strutz, 63, who is leaving his post because of poor health.
