Brown & Brown Inc., a Daytona Beach, Fla., insurance services provider, has agreed to buy Irving Weber Associates Inc., an insurance services provider that is based in Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
The deal was announced Tuesday and is expected to close this month. The price of the deal was not disclosed.With annual revenue of approximately $4 million, Irving Weber specializes in insurance programs for the "fabricare" industry — including dry cleaners, linen supply, uniform rental and commercial laundry operations.
It also offers programs for other industries and has retail insurance agency operations.
The firm's president, Adam Weber, and his staff would continue to operate in Ronkonkoma, under the Irving Weber name.
