City National Hires Wealth Unit Strategist

City National Bank in Los Angeles announced that it had hired Logan Allin to be a senior vice president and the manager of business and operations strategy for its wealth management division.

Allin, who reports to Richard Gershen, the head of wealth management, is to set long-term goals and coordinate product, technology and operational strategy for the division.

He headed the asset management consulting practice for the western region at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in Los Angeles. Before that, he was a partner in the global wealth management practice for EMC Corp.'s consulting business in New York.

The bank, which announced the hiring Monday, is a subsidiary of City National Corp.
