The $28 billion-asset Cullen/Frost appointed Chris Avery a director of both the holding company and Frost Bank, effective Monday. Cullen/Frost expanded both boards by one seat to add Avery.
Avery is chairman and chief executive of James Avery Jewelry, a Kerrville, Texas, manufacturer and retailer of jewelry. James Avery operates about 50 stores nationwide.
Avery and his associates are current or past customers of Frost Bank, the company said in a regulatory filing.
