Foundation Source, a Fairfield, Conn., company that provides support services for private foundations, announced Tuesday that it has hired Frank M. Maiorano as executive vice president of sales.

Maiorano was the founder, managing director and head of the registered investment adviser and institutional consulting services group of Nuveen Investments. Before that he worked at Schwab Institutional, a division of Charles Schwab & Co.
At Foundation Source, Maiorano is responsible for all areas relating to client acquisition as well as the development of relationships with strategic partners and national accounts.
