Republic First Bancorp Inc. in Philadelphia added Theodore J. Flocco Jr. to its board of directors.

Mr. Flocco is the designee of Vernon W. Hill 2nd, who became a major investor and a consultant for the $1 billion-asset Republic First last week. The investment gave Mr. Hill the right to nominate a director.
Mr. Flocco was a senior audit partner in Ernst & Young LLP's Philadelphia office for more than 35 years. He has advised numerous companies, including several regional and local banks, on accounting and strategic issues, mergers and acquisitions, Securities and Exchange Commission registrations, and public offerings.
