In Brief: 1st National Omaha Processor Alliance

CHICAGO - The merchant processing arm of $4 billion asset-First National Bank of Omaha has signed a collaboration agreement with ePicNetz Inc., an Atlanta subsidiary of Hypercom Corp. that specializes in point of sale enhancements.

First of Omaha Merchant Processing will use ePicNetz's services in conjunction with other Hypercom applications, which include software used to build retail Web sites with payment features.

ePicNetz delivers Internet content and services, such as advertising and coupon offers, to card payment terminals.

First of Omaha plans to deploy the applications in the fourth quarter to 5,000 of its merchants. The company handles transactions for 75,000 merchants.
