A shared-care benefit lets group members transfer their remaining coverage to a living spouse when the member dies - increasing the lifetime benefit under the surviving-spouse coverage.
A home modification benefit and assistive equipment and technology benefit can give members funding to upgrade their homes with access ramps and other assistive apparatus, such as rental of stair-climbing machinery.
