Allianz Life Insurance Co. of North America announced Monday that it has promoted Hayward L. Sawyer to director of sales and distribution and hired Doug P. Reynolds to be chief operating officer.
Mr. Sawyer, who joined Allianz Life in June as the national sales director for USAllianz Investor Services, is to lead sales, marketing, distribution, and product efforts. As an executive vice president at American Skandia, he had been responsible for sales and relationship management.
Mr. Reynolds is responsible for enterprise operations and operational strategy, including information technology services. Before joining Allianz Life, he led the shared services system at Best Buy.
Allianz Life is a provider of fixed and variable annuities, life policies, and long-term-care products.
