Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America named Gary C. Bhojwani its chief executive officer.
Mr. Bhojwani, 38, was hired by the Minneapolis life insurer from Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company, Allianz’s property-and-casualty sister company that is based in Novato, Calif., where he was president of its commercial business division. Allianz announced the hiring Friday.
Previously, Mr. Bhojwani was president and chief executive officer of Lincoln General Insurance Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kingsway Financial Services Inc.
Allianz provides fixed and variable annuities, life insurance policies, and long term care insurance products in the United States. Its parent, Allianz SE, is the 16th largest corporation in the world based on revenue and employs over 177,000 people globally.
