In Brief: Ameritrade Names Chochon Treasurer

Ameritrade Holding Corp. of Omaha has promoted Michael D. Chochon, its assistant treasurer since 2003, to treasurer.

He succeeded but will still report to Randy MacDonald, who remains the company' chief financial officer and chief administrative officer. The move was announced Friday.

Mr. Chochon will be responsible for capital structure, liquidity, balance sheet management, risk reporting, and external banking and rating agency relations. He is a member of the treasury steering committee of the Securities Industry Association.

Ameritrade is preparing to integrate the New York online brokerage firm TD Waterhouse Group, which it is buying from Toronto-Dominion Bank. The deal, announced in June, is expected to close early next year.
