Arden Asset Management Inc., a New York fund of hedge funds manager with $10 billion of assets under management, said Wednesday that it had hired Vikas Kapoor to be executive director of risk management and technology.
Mr. Kapoor was a managing director and the chief information officer in Deutsche Bank's absolute return strategies group; he was responsible there for the technology and risk infrastructure of both the single manager and fund of funds businesses.
Arden also said it had hired Nelson Pilar to be an analyst on its research team. From a base in Arden's London office, he is to focus on European manager due diligence and monitoring. Previously, he was responsible for legal and operational due diligence on hedge funds at Atlas Capital Ltd.
