Bank of America Corp.'s global wealth and investment management unit has named Thong Nguyen to head its private advisory services.
Mr. Nguyen, who was hired two years ago to head marketing and development in Bank of America's asset management group, is to lead a team of nationwide portfolio managers and investment professionals who advise high-net-worth clients of the company's private bank, it said on Monday.
The professionals within the private advisory services group work closely with client managers, trust officers, wealth strategists, and credit managers to deliver coordinated and integrated advice.
Mr. Nguyen, who is based in Boston, is to report to John Bahnken, the president of the wealth and investment management group. Mr. Nguyen will keep his marketing role until the company finds a successor. Previously, he ran GE Capital's North America consumer finance business development and sales teams, which added more than $12 billion of assets.
