In Brief: Bank of Hawaii Hires Chief of Investments

Bank of Hawaii Corp.'s investment services group named Toby Martyn an executive vice president and chief investment officer on Tuesday.

Mr. Martyn is to be responsible for overseeing the institutional sales and service division and will be chairman of its investment strategy committee. He was a vice president of investments at A.G. Edwards & Sons Inc. in Honolulu. He established the brokerage company's Honolulu branch office six years ago.

Previously he was the president and a co-founder of Hawaiian Capital Securities and manager of the tax-exempt-portfolio department at Benham Capital Management in Palo Alto, Calif.
