BB&T Insurance Services of Winston-Salem, N.C., announced Wednesday that it has agreed to buy Wyman, Green & Blalock Inc., a Bradenton, Fla., insurance agency specializing in personal and commercial property insurance, liability risk management, and employee benefits.

The BB&T Corp. brokerage arm did not give the price of the deal, which is expected to be completed in early December. The seller is to keep its staff and continue to operate from its offices in Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch, Fla., as BB&T-Wyman, Green & Blalock.
BB&T Insurance Services' 81 agencies include two in Florida: BB&T-Landrum Yaeger in Tallahassee and BB&T-Iler, Wall & Shonter in St. Petersburg and Orlando. It also has agencies in eight other states.
