Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. said Wednesday that it had hired a UBS executive to run prime brokerage client services in the United States.

Craig Perlman was hired to be a managing director and the U.S. head of client service for prime brokerage in the global markets division. He is to be based in New York and report to Christopher J. Caruso, the managing director and head of prime brokerage in North America.
Mr. Perlman was chief operating officer for UBS' prime brokerage business. Previously, he was a managing director and co-head of equity finance at ABN Amro Holdings NV, whose prime brokerage business was sold to UBS in 2003.
