DFA Capital Management Inc. in Purchase, N.Y., said Monday that it has elected Dean O'Hare, a former chairman and chief executive of Chubb Corp., to its board of directors.

Mr. O'Hare retired from Chubb in December 2002. He had started there as an underwriting trainee and later was named chief financial officer and, in 1986, president.
