Evergreen Investments in Bos-ton has announced a proposal to close and liquidate the Evergreen Mid Cap Value Fund and Evergreen Technology Fund on or about March 7.

The liquidations are subject to approval by the funds' board of trustees, which is expected to consider the proposals at a meeting in December, the Wachovia Corp. unit said last Tuesday.
After the close of business last Friday, shares of the funds were no longer to be available for purchase by either new or existing shareholders. If the board approves the liquidations, the funds' shareholders are to be notified.
