Fidelity Investments has introduced a municipal bond fund to be sold through advisers.
The Boston fund giant started the fund Monday to help investors meet intermediate to long-term needs. With the fund's start-up, Fidelity now offers a family of 82 Advisor portfolios, including three national municipal bond funds with varying degrees of interest rate sensitivity.
Available through financial advisers at banks, insurers, and brokerages, Fidelity Advisor Intermediate Municipal Income Fund seeks as high a level of current income, exempt from federal personal income tax, as is consistent with capital preservation.
