Guerite Advisors LLC, a Greenville, S.C., registered investment adviser, has launched a flagship no-load mutual fund.
The Guerite Absolute Return Fund, which the company began selling Tuesday, seeks positive returns each year, regardless of stock market conditions, by investing in a combination of exchange-traded funds and individual domestic value-oriented equity securities.
The fund's managers determine the degree of exposure to the domestic equity market using a proprietary Guerite Indicator, which relies on six economic indicators and six market indicators to identify long-range normal and high-risk market conditions. The tool is designed to help fund managers increase equity exposure during periods of normal risk and decrease exposure during high-risk cycles, Guerite said.
