John Hancock Financial Services has promoted Marc Costantini to president of its variable annuities business.
Mr. Costantini, who had been the chief financial officer of John Hancock Financial Services, succeeds Hugh McHaffie, who will remain president of John Hancock Wealth Management, the Boston company announced Tuesday.
Mr. Costantini, 37, joined Manulife Financial Corp. of Toronto, Hancock’s parent company, in 1990, and has held positions with both over the past 17 years. Those posts have included chief financial officer of Hancock’s wealth management division and general manager of its managed accounts business.
John Hancock had $355 billion of assets under management as of Dec. 31.
