In Brief: Hanover Insurance Group CFO Resigning

Hanover Insurance Group Inc. of Worcester, Mass., announced that Edward J. Parry 3rd, its chief financial officer and an executive vice president, will resign June 15.

Michael F. Buckley, a spokesman for Hanover, said Mr. Parry, 47, is leaving to pursue other career opportunities. A search for his successor is under way, the company announced Wednesday in a statement.

Mr. Parry joined Hanover in 1992 as a mergers-and-acquisitions specialist and has been its CFO since 1996. Hanover’s technology, investments, and claims departments and its life insurance company report to him.

Mr. Parry will remain a director of the company through May 15. He will not be up for re-election.
