The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. announced Friday that Don MacQuattie has joined Hartford Life Insurance Co. in Simsbury, Conn., as a vice president and the director of business strategy and development for corporate retirement plans.

In this role, Mr. MacQuattie is responsible for managing business strategy and distributor relationships for Hartford Life's corporate retirement plans.
Before joining Hartford Life, Mr. MacQuattie was a vice president and retirement plan manager at Merrill Lynch & Co., where he was responsible for marketing, sales, and client service in the New York area. Before that he managed regional 401(k) offices for Merrill Lynch in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
