Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc. in Purchase, N.Y., said Wednesday that Frieda Lewis was promoted to president of IFMG Securities Inc., its registered broker-dealer.

In this role Ms. Lewis is to supervise all broker-dealer activities and be the primary liaison to all mutual fund companies whose products are sold throughout the firm's distribution channels.
Ms. Lewis joined Independent Financial in March 2004 as a senior vice president and program director. She has more than 27 years of experience in the financial services industry. Before joining Independent Financial, she was the chief operating officer of the retail brokerage and insurance divisions at a third-party provider to financial institutions.
