Independent Financial Marketing Group Inc., a Purchase, N.Y., distributor of investment and insurance products through banks, has announced the promotion of Robert E. Summa to be its national sales manager.

In his new post Mr. Summa is to be responsible for helping clients achieve their investment/insurance programs' plan goals through training, mentoring, and marketing activities, the company said on Monday. He previously was the division manager for the eastern region and full-service programs.
Before joining Independent Financial, Mr. Summa worked for Invest Financial Corp., where he was responsible for financial institution relationships in the northern section of the country.
