In Brief: ING Unit Starts 6 Mutual Funds

ING Direct Securities Inc. has launched six no-load mutual funds.

The funds, which the ING Group NV unit launched Friday, include three asset allocation funds, a money market fund, a global real estate fund, and a global equity dividend fund. They are offered by ING Direct Securities through the Orange Investment Account.

The unit's immediate parent, ING Bank FSB of Wilmington, Del., which uses the ING Direct brand, also offers savings and investment accounts, certificates of deposit, and mortgages under the Orange brand. ING Direct has more than 4.5 million customers and $62 billion of assets.
