Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, a Philadelphia investment and investment banking firm, has hired Randall A. Carbone as a senior vice president and director of wealth management services.

Mr. Carbone will be based in Philadelphia and will sit on the firm’s management committee, Janney Montgomery said Monday.
He was a senior vice president and director of wealth management at Advest Inc. Before that he had held a variety of private client group management positions at Legg Mason Inc. and Prudential Securities.
