In Brief: Lincoln to Repurchase $150M of Shares

Lincoln National Corp. said it will repurchase 2.3 million of its common shares for an initial price of $150 million.

The Philadelphia insurer, which announced the plan Friday, said it will buy the shares from a third-party broker-dealer under an accelerated buyback program.

Lincoln also said that it is authorized to buy back up to $649 million of additional shares worth under a previous plan.
