In Brief: MetLife Unit Hires a Bank-Channel Manager

MetLife Investors Distribution Co. said it had hired a former Citibank executive to help improve sales in the bank channel.

Alice B. Leopold was hired to be a senior account manager for the channel, the company said on Wednesday. She was the director of product development and distribution in Citibank's broker-dealer channel and previously managed investment marketing programs for the branch network at Citicorp Investment Services.

MetLife Investors is a subsidiary of MetLife Investors Group Inc., a unit of MetLife Inc.
