Pioneer Global Asset Management SpA has promoted Daniel Keith Kingsbury as the president and chief executive officer of Pioneer Investment Management USA Inc.
Mr. Kingsbury also will head the Milan company's U.S. division. He will start on March 1.
He was the CEO of Pioneer Global's new markets division, where he oversaw operations in Central Europe and Asia. The division was the company's fastest-growing one; assets under management rose from about $470 million in 2000 to $10.9 billion as of Jan. 31.
Mr. Kingsbury, 48, will remain a member of the parent company's global management committee. Before joining Pioneer in 1999, he was the CEO of Renaissance Capital Asset Management in Moscow.
Pioneer Investments had $294.2 billion of assets under management as of Dec. 31. The promotion was announced Wednesday.
