Placemark Investments, a unified managed account provider, announced Wednesday that managed account industry veteran Alan Sislen has joined its board of directors.
Mr. Sislen, a nationally recognized expert who has worked with managed accounts for almost 15 years, is the president of Managed Account Perspectives LLC, a firm that consults with asset management companies, program sponsors, and money managers on the managed account business. Previously, he worked at Merrill Lynch & Co. for more than 30 years, including a final 10 years as first vice president and senior director of its separately managed account group.
Unified managed accounts are poised for significant growth in the coming few years; Tower Group has estimated assets in managed accounts will grow to more than $1 trillion by 2007.
