In Brief: PricewaterhouseCoopers Hires a Risk Exec

The transaction services group of PricewaterhouseCoopers said Thursday that Richard L. Bennett Jr. had joined the firm's insurance risk management solutions practice as a director.

In that role, Mr. Bennett, 38, is to work with major clients on insurance and risk management advice, the international accounting firm said.

Mr. Bennett has worked at three large global insurance brokerage companies, most recently as a senior vice president-client executive. He began his career as a casualty and marine underwriter.

The transaction services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers offers a deal process that helps clients bid more intelligently, close faster, and realize profits sooner on mergers, acquisitions, sales, and financing transactions. Deal teams operate from 16 U.S. cities and about 90 sites in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia.
