Principal Financial Group Inc., a Des Moines manager of 401(k) programs, will offer advisers a financial planning and client management system from eMoney Advisor Inc. of Conshohocken, Pa.
Under a deal announced Tuesday, the eMoney AdvisorPlatform is available to any adviser within Principal's network who offers fee-based services through its Princor Financial Services Corp., a registered investment adviser.
Principal pilot-tested the system with Delaware Valley Financial Group of King of Prussia, Pa. Delaware Valley's fee income on insurance and investment sales increased 15% to 20% as a result of using the system, Principal said.
The Iowa firm managed $152.1 billion of assets at midyear and serves 14.6 million customers worldwide. eMoney Advisor's customers include Massachusetts Mutual Insurance Co., PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Century Business Services Inc.
