Principal Financial Group of Des Moines has opened an office in Reading, Pa., to serve as the East Coast regional hub for its Principal Wellness Co.
The office will specialize in on-site health screenings - such as blood pressure, blood sugar, body mass index, and cholesterol tests - for employers and employees, Principal Financial said Wednesday. The site will offer consultations, high-risk interventions, and customized wellness programs, and it will host sales and service functions and provide a central location for screeners.
Participants in the site's programs will receive a Health Risk Analysis Report that provides feedback and recommendations. After the screenings, they will be offered ongoing consultations, education, and intervention if they are at risk for serious conditions.
Principal Financial had $215 billion of assets under management as of Sept. 30.
