Putnam Investments in Boston said Friday that Deborah F. Kuenstner, the managing director and chief investment officer of the large-cap value and international value teams, has decided to leave at yearend.

Ms. Kuenstner also is the portfolio leader for the Putnam Classic Equity Fund.
Josh Brooks, the chief investment officer of large-cap equities, is to take responsibility for the value teams. The other members of the Putnam Classic Equity Fund team, Michael Abata and Ronald J. Bukovac, were named its co-portfolio leaders.
Ms. Kuenstner, who joined Putnam in 1997, has also been a member of its executive board.
