Wealthy investors were increasingly positive about asset growth as 2004 ended, according to data released Wednesday.
Spectrem Group, a Chicago research and consulting company, said its Affluent Investor Index more than doubled in December, to a level of 13, returning to mildly bullish territory for the first time since June.
The December result ended five months of a neutral outlook in the index number, which reflects the investment outlook in households with $500,000 or more of investable assets. The affluent index had come in at 5 in November and 4 in both September and October.
The Spectrem Millionaire Index rose to 20 in December, remaining mildly bullish for a third straight month.
