Ryan Beck & Co. of Florham Park, N.J., has opened an office in Bel Air, Md.
Seven people hired from Smith Barney & Co. will staff the office: John Lomax as a senior vice president, Joseph Ries as a first vice president, and Anthony Germano and Daniel Wright as senior financial consultants. Mandy Bittner, Jennifer Snyder, and Heather Dardamanis were hired as registered client service associates.
Ryan Beck has had a branch in Baltimore since 1962, and its parent company, Stifel Financial Corp., has operations in Baltimore.
Ryan Beck said it plans to continue adding retail branches in key markets. It announced the Bel Air office Tuesday.
Ryan Beck provides financial services in 50 states. It and Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. Inc. collectively have 150 private client offices; their more than 1,200 financial consultants managed $50 billion of assets as of Dec. 31.
