S&T Bank in Indiana, Pa., announced Monday that it had acquired Bennett Associates Inc. and Cowher-Nehrig & Co., (the Bennett Group), two multiline insurance agencies in Cambria County, Pa.
The agencies are in Ebensburg and Nanty Glo, respectively, and are to retain their current offices.
Thomas Kiral, the president of S&T Insurance Group LLC, said in a press release that the agencies would become part of Evergreen Insurance Associates LLC, his unit's platform agency in Ebensburg.
Evergreen became a division of S&T Insurance Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of S&T Bank, in August 2002. It operates offices in Ebensburg, Greensburg, and Brookville, Pa., and offers access to insurers that can meet both personal and commercial needs.
S&T Bancorp Inc. operates 49 offices in Allegheny, Armstrong, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Clarion, Clearfield, Indiana, Jefferson and Westmoreland counties in western Pennsylvania.
