Banco Santander Central Hispano SA, Spain's largest banking company by market capitalization, has an agreement to take over an additional portion of Bank of America Corp.'s wealth management portfolio.
The Madrid company said Wednesday that it would take on wealth management accounts worth $5 billion. Santander did not say how much it would pay B of A for the assets.
On Oct. 23, Santander said it had reached an agreement to take on $3 billion of B of A accounts.
