Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. said its subsidiary Endurance Reinsurance Corp. of America has been subpoenaed by the New York attorney general for documents related to an investigation of contingent commission agreements.

The subpoena specifies documents concerning efforts made by any insurance broker to exclude or limit an insurer's access to the market and efforts by any broker to manipulate bids or price quotes or to submit false or inflated bids or quotes, the company said Thursday.
Endurance has not been named in any lawsuit stemming from the investigation.
